Who are e-racking?
We are a fast growing shelving and racking company with a unique approach to costing and selling storage related products, through our on line design tool. We have grown by providing excellent value for money (we regularly compete and beat rack manufacturers) with a service second to none. We have the financial resources and expertise to win orders of virtually any size, our largest to date being in excess of £1m.

What is an e-racking franchise?
Each franchise will have exclusive rights to a geographic region capable of supporting a racking and shelving company with a turnover of around £3m. However, it is anticipated that first year turnover would be in the region of £250,000 to £500,000 with a franchisee working from home based on no industry experience probably double with a hard working experienced shelving and racking expert. This would earn the franchisee between £60,000 and £100,000 depending on the 'product mix' sold for an un-experienced person more for someone with experience. Obviously income cannot be guaranteed it is dependent on the franchisees efforts.

How does it work?
You will set up a limit company under the name e-racking (Scotland) Ltd for example. You will have a designated exclusive area to work in. All enquiries in this area will be yours subject to national account rules which state that if a national account is established by one franchisee they get the benefit of sales to that account throughout the UK.

Where do you buy your products?
In e-racking we hold an extensive range of stock which we will offer to franchisees at very competitive prices. These products include Torri FEM compliant racking which we believe is the best racking on the market. However you are not tied to buying from e-racking you can source products from any reputable approved supplier. E-racking are one of Moresecure’s (Link 51) largest distributors.

What does it cost?

The initial franchise fee is £10,000 after which you will pay a management fee of 12% of the turnover (this is negotiable on large contracts) however this 12% is reduced depending on the level of group product purchased. It could easily be zero.

To help with cash flow in the early stages we offer “the smoothie” this is where we will ensure that your income is never less than £3000 per month for the first 6 months. This will be explained in more detail later.
Franchisee support

We have a website second to none and a prominent web presence, a thriving marketing campaign with trade press advertising and a presence at major trade shows including Logistic Link, Shift Stack and Store and a significant stand booked at IMHX 2007. Additional support is provided by a team of experienced area managers to support franchisees in technical areas where their skills may be lacking.

What we want in a franchisee
Our ideal franchisee is an experienced sales professional who listens to a customers requirements and genuinely believes that the best way to make money is by providing the customer with the best advice and the best solution not the solution that is convenient for the salesman. Industry knowledge is not a prerequisite but would help in the initial stages.
